TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Program Overview

This 7-week program supports youth aged 12 and above to develop ideas or projects. Weekly consultant sessions are provided, and applicants can apply individually or in groups (up to 4 members).

2. Eligibility and Application Requirements

  • Age: Applicants must be 12+. Parental/guardian consent is required for those under 18.

  • Residency: Applicants must reside in Leaside, Thorncliffe, or Flemingdon.

  • Project Submission: Only one project per applicant/group.

3. Parental/Guardian Consent (For Participants Under 18)

  • Written consent from parents/guardians is mandatory for minors, acknowledging these Terms & Conditions, liability waivers, and media release permissions.

4. Participation, Code of Conduct, and Attendance

  • Adherence to A77 Code of Conduct: Participants must agree to and adhere to the A77 Code of Conduct. Violations may lead to disqualification or removal from the program.

  • Attendance: Full attendance at weekly sessions is mandatory unless prior approval is granted. Failure to attend more than 1 sessions may lead to disqualification.

  • Behavior: Respectful and professional behavior is expected. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive conduct will not be tolerated and may result in removal.

5. Health, Safety, and Liability

  • On-Site Safety: Adherence to safety protocols during in-person sessions is mandatory. In case of emergencies, parents/guardians for minors or emergency contacts for adults will be contacted.

  • Online Sessions: Participants must ensure a safe environment for online sessions. A77 is not responsible for incidents occurring off-site or beyond its control.

  • Liability Waiver: Participants and their parents/guardians (for minors) agree to waive any claims against A77 for damages incurred during program participation.

6. Media Release and Privacy

  • Media Use: Participants (and parents/guardians for minors) agree to allow A77 to use photos, videos, or media taken during the program for promotional purposes.

  • Confidentiality: A77 will protect participants' information; however, participants consent to the sharing of project details for program promotion including participant names and media.

7. Intellectual Property and Project Development

  • Projects must be original, and participants retain ownership. However, A77 retains non-exclusive rights to showcase and promote projects.

  • Participants should seek legal advice for intellectual property protection if necessary.

  • A77 reserves first right to investment, collaboration, and revenue share in any and all forms according to an assessment and valuation created by A77. Participating members agree to not pursue or proceed with outside investments, collaborations, or revenue share agreements without A77 approval and inclusion and approval.

8. Grant Awards

  • Top 3 projects receive $500 grants for further development. Recipients must submit a budget and progress report within 2 months for the second round of the program with details to be released at a later date.

  • Recipients may participate in promotional activities to showcase progress.

  • Violation of terms may result in the grant being recalled from selected winners.

9. Withdrawal, Disqualification, and Amendments

  • Withdrawal: Written notice is required. Withdrawal forfeits any benefits.

  • Disqualification: Violations of the Code of Conduct, attendance, or behavior requirements may lead to removal.

  • Modifications: A77 reserves the right to modify or cancel the program and terms without advance or any notice.

10. Legal Compliance and Acceptance of Terms

  • No Guarantees: Participation doesn’t guarantee funding, and for those selected at the end of the 7 week program by the Jury it does not guarantee funding beyond the outlined $500.

  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct: All participants must adhere to the A77 Code of Conduct as a condition of their participation.

  • By applying, participants (and guardians) accept these Terms & Conditions and the Code of Conduct.

11. Counterparts and Electronic Execution

This Agreement may be executed in any number of counterparts each of which will be deemed to be an original, and all of which taken together will be deemed to constitute one and the same instrument. This Agreement may be executed and delivered by electronic means and each of the Parties may rely on such electronic execution as though it were an original hand-written signature.
